Cruising Without Debbie
Cruising without Debbie is like cruising without Funship Freddy and this time I am cruising without either of them...boohoo, sniff, sniff. Since Debbie is committed to doing her civic duty as a jurorist, Lady Kay is joining me on this cruise. After our cruise to the Chilean Fjords, I have wanted to see Alaska and when this cruise came up I couldn't resist. I am excited about seeing glaciers but I am more anxious this time to see and hear the calving which we didn't see in Chile. I am very happy that Her Royal Highness has agreed to let me be her cabinmate for this cruise. I know that it will be lots of fun so although Kay (aka Shrekie) will be doing her own blog, I thought that I would try to keep this one going as well so stay tuned for the adventures of Lady Kay and TP...not to be confused with the Princess Diaries...

I can't believe you haven't been on an Alaskan cruise before? I figured you'd been around the world!
Be prepared for cold. Even living in the Pacific Northwest I didn't realize how cold it would be when you are up against a glacier! LOL
I still have my little ear warmer headband I bought up there, because I know I'll go back someday. I love all the wildlife.
Looking forward to hearing all about your visit!

I am really getting excited about this cruise Carol. It is hard to believe that I haven't been there isn't it? I was in Portland last fall and it was so beautiful. I can't wait to see the bears, eagles, whales and the glaciers just fascinate me. I saw my first one in Chile last year and have been dying to see Alaska every since. It will be fun with Kay too since she is such an adventurous person she will no doubt move me outside my comfort zone on this trip! There will be a lot of laughing and pants peeing (my bladder issues are well documented). I can't wait for the Emerald Princess to see you since I heard from Debbie you will hang in the casino with us. Thanks for following and for the weather info. I know I need to pack warm clothes. I got the luggage out tonight and will start gathering tomorrow so I appreciate the heads up to gather the gloves and a scarf too. Two weeks from tomorrow morning I will be on my way to meet Kay in Seattle. Woohoo!
